11-06-09 New tenants at Par (St Austell) test station
VOSA will cease its occupancy of Par (St Austell) test station on 19 June after many years of testing lorries and buses at the premises.
A private company, Driveline GB Ltd is taking over the lease of the test station and will re-open as a Designated Premises on 29 June.
All tests at the new Designated Premises will continue to be undertaken by VOSA staff.
Richard Jacobs, Director Driveline GB Ltd said: “We are extremely happy to be associated with such a pioneering venture. When it transpired that the test station was due for imminent closure, there was a lot of locally voiced opposition. As a company we are proud to have a hand in extending a continuity of service to all of our future business partners.”
Alex Fiddes, Chief Operating Officer said: “The closure reflects our desire to give customers the best possible service and we wish Driveline all the success in the future.”
VOSA currently has 220 Designated Premises around the country.
