25-07-06 New Name and Structure for Testing and Enforcement
VOSA is re-structuring its Testing and Enforcement work as a result of an organisational review. The new Testing and Inspection Directorate will be responsible for delivery of testing and enforcement activity across the country.
From 1 August 2006, three regions will be created: Eastern, Western and Northern, with each region consisting of seven operational areas. There will be a head appointed for each region and the operational areas will be led by an Area Manager who will be responsible for delivering both Testing and Inspection.
Announcing the new structure, Testing and Inspection Director Alastair Peoples said: “Merging activities at area level will provide a more consistent, integrated approach for VOSA and position the organisation to meet its future challenges.”
Throughout these changes front line delivery of testing and enforcement services will be unaffected.
