26-08-05 Working Time DVD for Operators and Drivers

VOSA (Vehicle & Operator Services Agency) has released a new DVD - Working Time - which is an easy-to-follow guide explaining the Road Transport (Working Time) Regulations 2005.

The film is designed for operators and drivers to help them comply with the regulations. It dispels a few myths, such as the misunderstanding that drivers’ hours’ regulations have been replaced by working time regulations.

The DVD explains:

• What is Working Time?

• Periods of Availability

• Working Time Limits

• Reference Periods

• Night Working

• Rest and Breaks

• Information and Records

Graham Williams, VOSA Commercial Manager said, “We know that there is a need for information amongst the industry and we are placing the emphasis on education. We don’t want anyone to be put at risk through lack of good advice. VOSA is responsible for the enforcement of this legislation - we want to help operators and drivers to comply, and we have made this DVD to support them.”

The DVD costs £18 and is available from VOSA by telephoning 0870 60 60 440. Payment can be made by credit/debit card or by cheque.
