Diversity
Diversity within VOSA
Overview
Diversity as a concept focuses on a broader set of qualities than just race and gender. In the context of the workplace, valuing diversity means creating a workplace that respects and values visible and non visible differences regardless of age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity or religion/beliefs. By recognising the unique contributions that individuals with many types of differences can make, this helps create a work environment that maximizes the potential of all employees.
The role of the Diversity team
To be the first point of reference for staff about diversity workforce issues in VOSA.
Ensure the workforce profile, at all levels, is representative of our customers, helping VOSA organisations to be suitably responsive to the needs of local populations.
Ensuring that all staff and customers are treated with respect and fairly treated.
Access to training and promotion opportunities is fair and transparent.
