Graduate benefits

As a VCA graduate, you start with an excellent benefits package which includes an starting salary of £23595 + £1450 RRA rising to £26120 + £1450 RRA in the second year.

Upon successful completion of the placements and having proven your abilities, you could be offered promotion to Higher Professional Technical Officer (HPTO) and you will then follow the pay progression scheme in place.

You will also receive excellent holiday allowance of 30 days as well as 10.5 bank holiday and civil service privilege days each year.

We will invest a great deal of time into your development during the 4 year scheme and you will have excellent support from your mentor, line manager, current graduate engineers and experienced engineers. The support and training opportunities we offer will enable you to achieve Chartered status at the end of the scheme.
