You will learn:

This course is designed to enable environmental practitioners to perform an internal audit on an ISO 14001:2004 system in accordance with the requirements of the standard. Candidates will learn how to prepare and plan for an audit, how to raise non-conformities and identify effective corrective action.

Learning outcomes:

Understand how to plan internal audits and how to interact with audit teams to achieve effective outcomes.
Understand the structure of the standard and its requirements (covered in more detail in the Implementation Course).
Understand what objective, impartial evidence is and how to collect and record it.
Understand how to write a factual and effective audit report, and summarise daily sessions.
Understand how to raise NCs and expectations for closure.

Delivery options:

The course can be treated as a stand-alone, or combined with the one-day ISO 14001:2004 awareness course. VCA is more than happy to talk to you about bespoke or internal training, but this can be dependant upon your certification status. Please feel free to contact us to discuss this further.

Pre-requisites:

Candidates require a working knowledge of ISO 14001:2004, or should have attended the ISO 14001:2004 implementation course.
