FareXChange
It has been recognised for some time that there is no accepted standard (national or international) for the general exchange of fares and ticketing information. In 2006 Transport Direct commissioned a Scoping Study to examine the need for such a standard and its potential feasibility - and has coined the name FareXChange for such a standard, if it is developed. The results of that study will be the subject of further consultation with interested parties before any decision is reached about the development going forward.
