NNTRs fill open points where Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSI”) have not yet been published or where gaps have been identified.  They are notified to the European Commission by each European Union Member State and the Department has responsibility for notifying rules for the United Kingdom that are recommended by industry.

The European Railway Agency maintains a searchable database of all NNTRs notified by Member States.
