The Government has confirmed the line of route for the high speed rail line between London and the West Midlands, phase one of HS2. The Government has listened to and learned from the consultation, and the resulting changes will reduce the impact on the communities along the 140 km route.

The Secretary of State for Transport has travelled the line of route from London to the West Midlands to see for herself those areas affected.
