Vistors to the third round of the British Superbike Championship (BSB) at Oulton Park this weekend will be treated to an all-star line-up of BSB riders at the THINK! Motorcycle Academy, including BSB’s fastest female rider and north-west local, Jenny Tinmouth as well as BSB superstar Karl Harris and three time BSB Champion John Reynolds.
Making her debut appearance in the Supersport category, Jenny Tinmouth is set to be a popular guest on the stand. Not only is Jenny local to the area, hailing from Ellesmere Port, she is also the one of the only female riders to be involved in BSB. In a sport where female bikers are rare, Jenny’s determination and riding ability make her a great ambassador for the sport and the North West region.
Headlining the THINK! Motorcycle Academy on Sunday will be Karl Harris of Rob Mac Racing, talking to fans about the season ahead and his astonishing crash on his Yamaha at Thruxton two weeks ago. He will be joined by AIM Yamaha’s Steve Plater along with THINK! ambassador and three times BSB Champion John Reynolds who will signing autographs, answering questions about the day’s racing and giving his thoughts on safe road riding.
Visitors to the Academy can look forward to seeing all the latest 2008 Superbikes on display, testing their BSB and road safety knowledge on the new interactive computer pods and have their picture taken on a virtual grid alongside Leon Haslam and Shane Byrne. Fans can test their skills on the
Honda rider simulator as well as entering the GO VIP! Competition to win VIP hospitality on race day.
Jenny Tinmouth said; “I am really excited about the weekend’s racing. To be riding my first race of the season at my home track is nerve racking, but I know it’s going to be one of the best experiences of my life. I’ll be on the THINK! Motorcycle Academy on Monday, which is a great opportunity to meet the fans as well as promoting the THINK! road safety message, which is very important to me.”
