Transport strategy and planning
This section, published in October 2007, sets out information on the Department's overall transport strategy. It includes the Department's plans to support economic growth and to address transport's climate change impacts, responding to the recommendations made in the Eddington Transport Study and the Stern Review of the Economics of Climate Change.

King Review
The Chancellor has asked Professor Julia King, Vice Chancellor of Aston University and former Director of Advanced Engineering at Rolls-Royce plc, working with Sir Nicholas Stern, to lead a review to examine the vehicle and fuel technologies which over the next 25 years could help to 'decarbonise' road transport, particularly cars.
