Project: Guidance on the Economic Impact Report for Transport Appraisal

Reference: H116

Last update: 09/09/2003 16:31:57

The objective of this project is to find a framework for appraisal which takes account of regeneration effects of transport schemes. This will allow the existing GOMMMS (Guidance on the Methodology of Multi-Modal Studies) to be replaced.

This research is to studying the 'wider economic impacts', such as regeneration, and its contribution in quantitative terms to transport schemes. The consultant will determine how local employment may change, by taking account of deadweight and displacement of employment.
