Objectives

To develop an expert system to allow the optimisation of repairs on reinforced concrete highway bridges.

Description

A database will be constructed of repair methods, repair specifications of the Highways Agency and typical highway bridges. A prototype computer system using statistical analysis of collected data to reach optimal decisions on repair solutions will be developed.
