To develop a data collection tool using image processing techniques which can be applied to a wide range of transport programmes.


The research will concentrate on the development and implementation of vehicle and pedestrian recognition algorithms. In particular the system will enable the discrimination between objects such as cars and lorries and between pedestrians and cyclists.
