Evaluating the evidence base in terms of private motorist non-compliance, to understand any gaps, assess what the evidence tells us. For example, which areas of non-compliance cost society the most, which are the highest risk groups, what are the highest risk areas, etc.
The results of the data collection and analysis will be summarised in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet as both DfT and WSP consider that a formal report would not be required for this phase of the PMCS study
Data gathering - obtaining the evidence on non-compliance by motorists across 13 policy areas.
Data analysis - perform cost benefit analysis on the policy areas to inform the PMC Strategy
