The pilot project has two objectives.
. Scope the concept and feasibility of a permanent incubator facility by developing and demonstrating appropriate technical and business models ;
. Demonstrate the benefits of the proposed incubator facility through the development of initial business and technical models for a specific information application(s) of potential commercial value.
To demonstrate how an experimental data exploitation environment can facilitate the rapid development of innovative applications and services exploiting public and private sector data. This work was requested by recommendation 6 of the Power of Information Review for developing appropriate business and technical models for realising an "information incubator" to facilitate development of transport information services.
