Objectives

Providing ad hoc and useful advice to TIF areas on how to undertake the social survey into the potential impacts of a road pricing scheme as advised in webtag 3.13.4


Description

To provide ad hoc expert advice on the following:

. Advice to LAs (via SRE) on a wide range of sampling and analytical issues for their local household surveys including providing advice to enable LA's to produce good quality survey specifications and to enable them to critically assess tenderer's/survey contractor's sample design and statistical analysis techniques.

. Advice to SRE on a wide range of sampling and analytical issues for household surveys.

. Presentations on sampling and analytical issues as required to LA's or DfT officials, e.g. at the quarterly Road Pricing Local Liaison Sub-group.

. Production of written guidance on a wide range of household survey sampling and analytical issues may be needed. NB. Guidance may be published on the DfT website alongside other DfT guidance on TIF business case development.
