The principle aim of this study is to understand how toll levels on an interurban trunk road influence travel demand in circumstances where there is a choice between a tolled route and alternative free routes.


The appraisal of tolled trunk roads. Detail evidence needed on the demand for a new tolled trunk road that can be used to assess both financial and economic (user) benefits.

The project will use surveys and analysis of the willingness to pay and utilisation of the M6T, and reports on findings.
