The research will identify issues for consideration in setting up a central database of blue badge holders, including benefits to local authorities and disabled people, viability, likely running costs and appropriate organisations capable of operating it.
The project will assess the benefits of a central database to local authorities and blue badge holders. The suitability of existing database packages for recording factual information that is easily accessible will be analysed and costs of establishing, maintaining and updating the database will be identified.
