Objectives

The objectives of the study are as follows:

.To produce an assessment of the existing level of parking provision and use in central London

.To identify the requirements of disabled people ( including disabled residents of central London ) for access to central London and the needs for parking provision in central London for those that cannot come by other means;

.To identify how these needs can best be provided for;

.To assess the potential impact on congestion, availability of parking places, other traffic management issues and the central London economy of any modifications to the existing arrangement to increase provision of parking space in central London for disabled people.

Description

To seek approval for this research project to examine the case for lifting the current exemption for four central London boroughs from the Blue Badge Scheme of parking concessions for disabled people.
