To provide advice to the designers of the Transport Direct Portal in relation to any particular needs of minority ethnic groups.


Family groups attended trial sessions on using the portal. During each session the family was observed carrying out a typical travel task and were asked about what they liked and what they disliked about the site.

Summary of results

  1. The tests verified that the service proposition appealed to these groups for certain types of journeys. The groups made numerous suggestions for improvelments relating to the sort of information they would find useful.
