The main objective for this research is to take forward recommendations to make improvements to the current Great Britain Freight Model that is being used for the National Transport Model.
To undertake an audit of the current Great Britain Freight Model of the structure, the input data / processing and the quality of output results. The purpose of this work is to assess the suitability of the model and to recommend improvements while additional modules are being developed to provide a more refined freight modelling system.
