Project: GENERIC URBAN MODELS

Reference: H142 and H142A

Last update: 15/08/2013 13:41:28

Objectives

The purpose of this project to use available data to construct models of representative urban areas of different sizes, at a level of details which permits appraisal of policy measures such as park-and-ride schemes, the impact of which is usually considered to be highly location specific.

Description

The aim of the project is to produce a set of generic urban models representing typical urban areas of different sizes. The Department will run these to gain information on typical impact of packages of localised policies; resulting changes in generalised costs will be fed to the main NTM model.
The project was split into an inception phase H142 and an implementation phase H142A.
