Objectives

The purpose of this project to prepare a draft Regulatory Impact Assessment ( RIA ) and incorporate it within a draft consultation paper to covering the proposed extenstion to the scope of the RVAR to include refubishment regulations.

The RIA and consultation on the RVAR will cover:

Work will incorporate analysis of the recent survey of Disabled Persons Railcard holders.
Draw on the findings of applications of existing accessibility regulations to light and heritage rail rolling stock.

Description

This is in response to a consultation paper and is an essential element in delivering Government policy objectives for taking forward the rail recommendations of the Disability Rights Task Force.
