The aim of this project is to discover how different modes of travel used by children effects their health, social development and educational performance. Previous research has been carried out in this area but on a very small scale, therefore our objective is to provide more reliable results.
This project involves co-funding of a survey by the Department of Work and Pensions, to provide an opportunity to consider how the mode of travel used by children impacts on their health, social development and educational performance.
There is an increasing interest in this area, but the evidence that currently exists is unreliable, being based on very small samples of respondents.
