Further to the Government’s commitment to increase transparency the Government is requiring local authorities to publish information about the impact and use of speed cameras.
This publication consists of the following documents:
- Letter from Mike Penning to local authority chief executives outlining requirements for the publication of speed camera information.
- DfT note on the requirement for publishing information relating to speed cameras. This note summarises what information about speed cameras local authorities and the police are to publish. It considers the conclusions of a working group of police, local government and central government officials.
- Report of a working group about the publication of information related to speed cameras. This report summarises the work and conclusions of a group set up in January 2011 to discuss the details of what information related to speed cameras should be published and how. The working group included officials from the police, local government and central government.
