Summary
The Government has today announced its decisions on 25 local major transport schemes across the country covering public transport, roads and mixed packages. The 25 schemes were part of the ‘Development Pool’ of 45 projects seeking funding from the Department for Transport – a competitive process to drive up value for money and drive down costs. 20 of the schemes were announced on 29 November in the Autumn Statement.
