Summary
Winners of the Better Bus Area Fund 2012 have now been announced and details of the successful bids can be found in the Downloads section below.
In total, the grants come to £70m, an increase of £20m on the figure announced on 7th December 2011. This is in recognition of the quality of the bids received.
The aim of the fund is to increase bus patronage in busy urban areas, and the Department’s aims of creating growth and cutting carbon. Funding will be provided for twenty-four of the fifty applicants.
