UK Standards
CycleNetXChange CycleNetXChange allows cycle path data to be collected by different communities and exchanged to provide cycle Journey planners and other navigation products.
NaPTAN NaPTAN (the directory of National Public Transport Access Nodes) records the location & details of public transport access nodes including 330,000 bus stops; plus airports, rail & coach stations, ferry terminals, tram stops and more.
NPTG NPTG (National Public Transport Gazetteer) holds the location, names & relationships of 45,000 localities.
JourneyWeb JourneyWeb is the protocol Journey Planners use to communicate. It's also the name of the web site used for exchanging public transport data, maintained by Thales, who also provide assistance to Local Authorities and other information suppliers via email and a phone helpdesk. TransXChange TransXChange is the standard for exchanging bus schedules and related data. It is used in the electronic registration of bus routes and for the exchange of bus routes between systems such as Journey Planners.
TransModel TransModel is the European reference data model for use in designing information systems for public transport.
GovTalk & e-Gif GovTalk outlines the technical standards that act as the foundation of e-Government strategy, allowing information to flow seamlessly across the public sector, providing citizens and business with better access to government services.
EU Standards
TransModel Transmodel is a reference data model for Public Transport operations developed within several European projects.
SIRI SIRI (Service Interface for Real Time Information) is an XML protocol to allow distributed computers to exchange real-time information about public transport services and vehicles. SIRI is a CEN standard.
NeTEx Network Exchange is an XML schema that implements a subset of teh Transmodel model. It includes a Fixed Object and a Fare mode.
