Results from the ONS Omnibus Survey, March 2005

Introduction

This report summarises the results from questions included in the Office for National Statistics' Omnibus survey in March 2005. These questions covered a number of different transport issues and were intended to explore several specific policy questions. The questions covered the following topics:

  • The decline in driving among young people;
  • Long distance travel patterns;
  • The impact of no-smoking policies on the use of public transport;
  • Attitudes to walking;
  • The cost of car sharing to passengers
