National travel survey: 1999/2001 update
The 1999/2001 National Travel Survey (NTS) is the latest in a series of household surveys designed to provide a databank of personal travel information for Great Britain. It is part of a continuous survey that began in July 1988, following ad hoc surveys since mid-1960s. The survey is designed to pick up long-term trends and is ot suitable for monitoring short-term trends.
This bulletin presents 2001 data from the NTS, normally by aggregating the three years 1999-2001.
