Focus on ports: 2000
Introduction
This statistical volume is published in parallel to the ports policy paper Modern Ports (copies of which can be obtained from DTLR, Ports Division, Great Minster House, 76 Marsham Street, London SW1P 4DR. Telephone 020 7944 3000). It provides a wealth of statistical and factual background.
Data from the annual Maritime Statistics report forms the basis for much of the material presented. However, this document goes some way beyond some way beyond what has previously been published featuring considerably more in the way of analysis and commentary. In particular, it attempts to draw on relevant data available from other sources. It is intended to publish future periodic updates to this edition of Focus on Ports.
