Transport Security - Aviation

The Transport Security and Contingencies team (TRANSEC) has a responsibility to ensure the security of passengers, workers and cargo in airports and during transit. This section provides details about the work undertaken in this area, together with a list of aviation related agencies that are regulated by the Department for Transport.

With effect from 7 January 2008, the one item restriction will no longer apply at certain airports.

Aviation Security Training
