Inner City Road Safety Demonstration Project Interim Report (1 Mb)

This report has been produced to provide an introduction to the Inner City Road Safety Demonstration Project and put the project in context against previously published reports into other recent demonstration projects. Its aim is to provide a broad overview of the issues identified at the beginning of the project whilst outlining the interventions developed by Birmingham City Council and presenting the findings of preliminary evaluation now that the project is substantially complete.

Mixed priority routes

The Mixed Priority Routes (MPR) Demonstration Project was launched in 2002 and shows how roads included in the scheme can be made safer and more pleasant for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists alike.
