Think B 4 U Park Awareness Campaign - Coventry City Council
In April 2005, Coventry City Council (CCC) launched the Think B 4 U Park campaign as the council took over responsibility for parking enforcement in the city. The campaign is designed to provide motorists in Coventry with advice on all aspects of parking in the city and to persuade drivers to park responsibly. Included within the campaign literature is reference to CCC's ongoing commitment to improving the environment in Coventry by reducing damage to pavements caused by parked vehicles. Reference is also made to the fact that responsible parking has a positive impact on the safety of pedestrians.
Kash Dhadwar, Parking Services Manager at CCC clearly believes that the Think B4 U Park campaign has had a positive effect on parking generally within the city:
"The Think B 4 U Park campaign has had s significant impact on the parking habits of drivers in Coventry, and we hope that the motoring public are now more aware of the negative effects of pavement parking"
