Street works Orders
The New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (Commencement No 3) Order 1992 and The New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (Commencement No 5 and Transitional Provisions and Savings) Order 1992. These Orders bring into force most of the street works provisions of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991. Additionally, the Commencement No. 5 etc Order retains in force limited parts of the Public Utilities Street Works Act 1950 in relation to certain street works or related activities carried out or begun before 31st December 1992.
The Local Authorities (Contracting Out of Highway Functions) (England) Order 2001 This order allows a local highway authority to contract out the operation of certain of its street works functions to another body.
The Street Works (Charges for Occupation of the Highway) (England) (London Borough of Camden) Order 2002 - (Adobe Acrobat 87kb). This order approves Camden Council's bid to operate a lane rental scheme.
The Street Works (Charges for Occupation of the Highway) (England) (Middlesbrough Borough Council) Order 2002 - (Adobe Acrobat 88kb). This order approves Middlesbrough Borough Council's bid to operate a lane rental scheme.
The Street Works (Charges for Occupation of the Highway) (England) (Transport for London) Order 2002 - (Adobe Acrobat 9kb). This order approves Transport London's bid to run a lane rental scheme on those roads for which it is responsible that are located in the London Borough of Camden.
NOTE: As indicated in the appropriate places, some of the sets of Regulations listed above relating to street works have been either revoked or modified by later Regulations. They are however retained on this website for reference purposes.
