RTFO Stakeholder Newsletter - RFA Appointments etc
This is to let you know that:
1. The Renewable Fuels Agency (RFA) is recruiting a chief executive and a head of carbon and sustainability reporting. The advertisements appeared in the Sunday Times, the Times and elsewhere in recent days - details at:

2. Sue McDougall, formerly of the RTFO team here in the DfT, has been appointed as the interim Chief Executive of the Renewable Fuels Agency. She will be helping to establish the RFA over the months ahead.
3. The RFA's website is due to go live very shortly at http://www.dft.gov.uk/rfa. The website will contain more details about the new Agency.
4. The Government is due shortly to publish a summary of responses to the consultation on the RTFO's draft reporting carbon and sustainability reporting requirements. It is due at the same time to publish a final set of recommendations to the RFA. We will let you know as soon as these documents are available.
5. The RFA is then likely to publish shortly afterwards:
- a final version of the carbon and sustainability reporting requirements document.
- a first version of the operating guidance for fossil fuel suppliers.
6.The RTFO provisions in the Climate Change Bill were not discussed in detail during the Bill's Second Reading in the House of Lords on 27 November. The Bill is due to be considered in more detail in Committee later this month and in January.
