Review of evidence around indirect impacts of biofuel production
The Government has today announced that it will ask the Renewable Fuels Agency to commission a review of the emerging evidence on the indirect impacts of biofuels production. Further details are available in the DfT press release, available via http://www.gnn.gov.uk/environment/dft/.
The review is intended to inform the Government's consideration of long-term biofuel targets including those proposed in the EU's draft Renewable Energy Directive.
Terms of reference are being finalised and will be made available as soon as possible.
