Consultation - Summary of reponses

In December 2008, the Department issued a 16-week consultation on draft Local Transport Plan Guidance. The Guidance is to inform local transport authorities’ next Local Transport Plans, due to be in place by April 2011. In total, 126 responses were received from a range of organisations. 

Joining up with transport

The Department for Transport has published Local Transport Plan Guidance (July 2009). This note sets out the importance of transport to the wider local agenda, and is directed at local authority councillors, chief executives and service directors.
