Consultation on safeguarding revision of the Chelsea Hackney Line - outcome report
The proposed Chelsea-Hackney line rail scheme (also known as Crossrail 2) will link the northern Epping branch of the Central line to the southern Wimbledon branch of the District line with a new tunnel across central London. Following a public consultation exercise in 2007 the Department has issued a new safeguarding direction that protects the route from development. The Department has also published a report on the consultation, with summaries of the replies and responses to the points made.
