Pilot projects
Since the launch of the Strategy in November 2004 the resources of the SRA Community Rail Development team have been concentrated on developing the pilot projects with our partners.
The remits for each pilot have now been agreed and small client groups consisting of the local transport authority, train operating company, Community Rail Partnership, Network Rail and SRA (as well as other local stakeholders where relevant) are now monitoring and driving the work to achieve the shared objectives. Some objectives can be achieved quickly; others will stretch over the 5 year life of the pilot projects.
