The Freight Logistics Research Group will initially have three core functions. Firstly, it will offer independent comment and critique on the Department's Logistics Policy (LPOL) division research programme. Secondly, it will also offer comment on or review of results of completed LPOL funded or partnered research. It will also discuss its quality and how and where the results can best be disseminated, implemented or incorporated into policy or business. Thirdly, it can act as a think tank/sounding board and offer comment on a range of issues proposed by LPOL or the members.
