Tanks and transportable pressure equipment
With effect from 1 July 2006 "old tanks" (constructed before 10 May 2004) and “old pressure receptacles” (cylinders, tubes and cryogenic receptacles constructed before 1 July 2003 or other pressure receptacles constructed before 10 May 2004) are no longer permitted to be inspected by a "competent person". The periodic inspection now has to be carried out by, or under the control of, an "inspection body".
