Load Line

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE GUIDANCE OF SURVEYORS

These instructions are intended primarily for the use of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) Surveyors but will serve as a guide to others concerned with the survey, marking and periodical inspection of ships for load line purposes and with the issue of load line certificates. Details are also included of the procedure for the approval of stability information. They should be considered as a supplement to and read in conjunction with the Act, the Load Line Regulations and other relevant instruments such as Merchant Shipping Notices.
