HM Coastguard Proposals for Modernisation Consultation - July 2011

This consultation closed on 6 October.

The Government announced on 14 July 2011 its conclusions on taking forward the process of Coastguard modernisation in the light of consultation on the proposals published on 16 December 2010 in the Maritime and Coastguard Agency consultation document “Protecting our Seas and Shores in the 21st Century”. These conclusions and the reasons behind them are set out in the consultation document, which identifies those specific changes from the original proposals on which the Government wishes to consult further.

How to Respond

This second consultation period begins on 14 July 2011 and will run until 6 October 2011; therefore please ensure that your response reaches us by 5pm on that date.

To ensure all views are accurately and consistently recorded, the consultation response form is the required form of response. To make the response process as accessible as possible, responses are invited electronically by the completion of the online questionnaire.
