COASTGUARD SUSPEND SEARCH FOR KAYAKER
Her Majestys Coastguard have suspended the maritime search for missing Shrewsbury kayaker, Elizabeth Ashbee, 53, after she went missing yesterday afternoon in her red kayak. The search in the maritime sector will remain suspended pending any further information whilst the land search and rescue led by North Wales Police will continue. read more..

THROWN AWAY BEACON SPARKS COASTGUARD SEARCH
At approximately 1 oclock this afternoon, Yarmouth Coastguard were alerted to a distress beacon transmitting either inland or close inshore near Saltfleet in Lincolnshire. Due to the possibility of a vessel being in distress, the Humber all weather lifeboat was asked to assist. Coastguard Rescue Teams from Donna Nook and Mablethorpe were also sent to the approximate area and assist in the search. RAF Rescue Helicopter 128 was also requested to assist in the location of the beacon. read more..
YARMOUTH COASTGUARD ALERT SHIPPING TO 60 TONNES OF LOST CARGO
Yarmouth Coastguard have been warning leisure boaters and regular marine traffic to a significant amount of lost cargo from the 79 metre Norwegian registered vessel Sally in heavy seas off the east coast of the UK. The cargo loss is about 55 miles due east of Lowestoft and the vessel was travelling from Sweden to the UK. The vessel has a crew of 6 on board. read more..

Humber Coastguard have been co-ordinating assistance to a 49 year old male diver this afternoon who, it was reported, was unconscious and very poorly after returning from his dive. MAN AND THREE CHILDREN RESCUED FROM DINGHY
Just after 1.00 pm Humber Coastguard were made aware of a dark blue dinghy floating offshore from the beach at Ulrome in North Humberside. One man in his late 40s, and three children aged 4,6 and 7 were in the dinghy at the time. They were staying in a nearby caravan. No lifejackets were being worn. The individuals had oars on board but the offshore winds were too strong and they were being blown out to sea. read more..

CALL 999 COASTGUARD IF YOU ARE IN TROUBLE AT SEA
Five adults, two children and their dog had to be towed back to the beach this afternoon after their speedboat broke down near St Tidwalls. Although they had been broken down for three hours, they had not thought to call the coastguard and so had been stuck trying to call to other vessels for help. They had tried to call the beachguard on their mobile phone but had no response. They did not have vhf radio onboard the boat and only one of the children and none of the adults were wearing lifejackets. read more..
