BUSY DAY FOR STORNOWAY COASTGUARD HELICOPTER
At 2.00 pm today, Stornoway Coastguard Helicopter Rescue 100 airlifted a 53 year old man suffering from a diving related illness to Dunstaffnage Hyperbaric Unit. The diver, from the dive charter vessel Mary Doune, was landed at Canna Pier for onward transportation by helicopter. Canna Coastguard Rescue team assisted on scene. read more..

Clyde Coastguard are currently monitoring the progress of the 73 metre Russian fish factory stern trawler `Aquamarine which was heading for Killybegs after initially being taken under tow by another Russian fishing vessel the 93 metre `Mikhail Borodin yesterday afternoon. The tow was dropped and the vessel is now drifting in poor weather about 240 miles north of Killybegs. read more..
