LOST DOG RECOVERED FROM BASE OF CLIFFS
At 14.51 pm Portland Coastguard received a call from walkers, who had sighted a dog whimpering at the base of cliffs. Swanage Coastguard Rescue team were called out to Old Harry Rocks were the dog had been sighted. The dog was on a small beach which was only accessible by sea and appeared to be wearing a collar and dog coat. There was however no sign of an owner. read more..

FOUR CREW RESCUED AFTER FISHING VESSEL SINKS IN THE NORTH SEA
At 12.54 pm, Aberdeen Coastguard received a Mayday Relay call from the fishing vessel Resilient LK195. The Resilient was relaying a Mayday call they had picked up from the Fraserburgh registered fishing vessel Esorah FR317. The Esorah, a 15 metre fishing vessel, with four crew had made the mayday call giving their position and that the vessel was taking water. read more..
