1.1 Annex 1 to this notice sets out the V103 course and LPS course dates available to UK Port and Harbour Authorities being held between June 2012 and July 2013. The dates have been agreed and arranged following consultation with South Tyneside College, Fleetwood Nautical Campus (Blackpool and The Fylde College) and the Port of London Authority.
1.2 Candidates should contact the training organisations of their choice for further course information and to determine any Accredited Prior Learning (APL) especially with regard to non-marine applicants, if appropriate.
1.3 Further guidance can be obtained from the current Marine Guidance Note Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) – Training and Certification of VTS Personnel.
1.4 Annex 2 provides a list of national and international guidelines and legislation for VTS Operations. The publications listed are the latest editions at the time of issue of this Notice.
1.5 This information will be promulgated on an annual basis.
