Using Government Mail in Partnership with Amtrak

The service operates like a courier company, so there is no fixed contract. You open an account then pay per item according to weight and how quickly you want it to be delivered.

The contract we have with Amtrak was developed specifically to allow all government departments and other public bodies to make use of these services without having to go through an expensive tendering process. The contract process was overseen by the Office of Government Commerce (OCG).
